September 2010 -- Geary Advisors closes its TXF Texas ETF
The fund, which tracked the SPADE Texas Index, ceased trading in late September 2010 after the firm failed to market it to potential investors. According to Scott Sacknoff, manager of the Index, "there continues to be professional and institutional interest in the state-focused product. We were disappointed that a number of people we spoke to said they were unaware that the product existed. This obviously presents an opportunity for another ETF company to license the index and capture this untapped market. We will continue to calculate the index for the foreseable future."
